Margrethe-Skolen now offers a course in draping. Draping is a unique way to create new silhuets and volumes, and at the same time to develop an understanding of body and fabric. The course gives knowledge of draping as a method and tool and includes theory and practice in this creative working proces. The course covers basic techniques in draping, draping a garment with collar and sleeve, transformation of a garment, manipulation and shaping through the use og diffrent techniques and ends with a presentation. The course includes:

• Review of basic techniques in draping.

• Draping of uppers, collars and sleeves.

• Transformation of upper base form.

• Draping only by the use of pleats, wrinkles and cuts.

• Draping of skirt.

• Transformation of skirt base form.

• Manipulation and transformation through creative use of different techniques.

• Finishing and presentation.

Course fee: 3,000 D.kr. excluding materials. There is a deposite of 500 D.kr. which can be sent to the school or transferred to account nr. 2191 0102 303083 at the time of enrolment.

The course starts on october 25th 2012 and takes place for 8 weeks from 17.00 to 20.00.
